Written Workmanship Warranty
Effective date: October 9, 2026
SCLLR Commercial Contractors License No. M118613
EmergenServe stands behind every electrical repair, upgrade, and installation we complete. This document is the written warranty we promised in our Terms of Service: it states, in plain language, exactly what we cover, for how long, and how to get it honored. It is issued with each completed job and applies to residential and commercial electrical work performed by our licensed team throughout Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties.
Lifetime of home ownership
Our workmanship warranty has no expiration date. It runs for as long as the original customer owns the property where we performed the work.
Repairs At No Charge
If our work fails, we come back and fix it. No labor charge, no trip charge, no argument about who is at fault first.
24/7 Claim Intake
Warranty calls are handled the same way as any other service call, including after hours and on weekends.
Issued In Writing
You receive a signed warranty document with your job details at completion, not a verbal assurance.
What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers the workmanship of electrical services performed by EmergenServe, including:
- Repairs, troubleshooting, and replacements we performed, including outlets, switches, GFCI and AFCI devices, fixtures, and ceiling fans.
- Installations we performed, including panel upgrades, new circuits, subpanels, EV charger circuits, generator connections, and low-voltage and data wiring.
- The connections, terminations, supports, boxes, and raceways we installed, and the code compliance of the work at the time it was completed.
- Devices and equipment we supplied and installed, for as long as the manufacturer's own warranty on that item remains in force.
If a covered item fails because of how we installed or repaired it, we return to the property, diagnose the problem, and correct it at no charge to you.
How Long Coverage Lasts
The warranty term is Lifetime of home ownership, covering the original customer for as long as they own the home where the work was performed. It begins on the date the job is marked complete and does not need to be renewed, registered, or paid for again.
This warranty is issued to the original customer and is not transferable. If you sell the property, the warranty stays with you rather than passing to the new owner. We are still glad to service the home for the new owner as a paying customer, and we will provide the original job records on request.
Parts, Equipment, and Manufacturer Warranties
Panels, breakers, EV chargers, generators, light fixtures, smart devices, and similar equipment carry the manufacturer's own warranty, for the term the manufacturer publishes. That warranty covers defects in the product itself, while ours covers how we installed it.
We keep the model numbers, serial numbers, invoice, and installation date for equipment we supply, register the product where registration is required, and file or support your claim with the manufacturer so you are not left holding paperwork. If a manufacturer declines a claim and the failure traces back to our installation, our workmanship warranty still applies.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
To keep this promise honest and enforceable, it does not extend to problems that were not caused by our work, including:
- Damage from lightning, power surges from the utility, floods, hurricane or storm water, fire, vehicles, or other events outside our control.
- Damage caused by service, alteration, repair, or modification performed by anyone other than EmergenServe.
- Equipment we did not supply or install, and damage to appliances, electronics, or data caused by an electrical fault rather than the fault itself.
- Cosmetic finishes, paint, drywall patching, and surface restoration, unless the wall or ceiling was opened by us as part of the job.
- Code updates required later because of a renovation, a change of use, or a new code cycle adopted after our work was inspected and approved.
- Normal wear, consumables such as batteries and bulbs, and damage from misuse, neglect, or use outside the equipment's ratings.
- Work performed by a previous owner or another contractor before we arrived, which we report to you rather than warrant.
Nothing here limits any statutory right you have under South Carolina law, and this warranty is in addition to, not a replacement for, those rights.
How To Make A Warranty Claim
- Email Warranty@EmergenServe.com to redeem your warranty or schedule a warranty visit. Have your invoice, job number, or the address ready.
- Tell us what changed: what stopped working, when it started, and anything that happened at the same time, such as a storm or a power outage.
- We schedule the visit. Emergencies are dispatched first; other claims are booked for the next available window.
- We diagnose the problem on site and tell you whether it is our workmanship, a manufacturer issue, or something outside the warranty before any work begins.
- If it is covered, we fix it at no charge. If it is not covered, you get a flat-rate quote first and you decide whether to proceed.
