We use Tapcon and sleeve anchors rated for masonry, drill with hammer drills sized to the anchor, and verify pull strength before the TV touches the bracket. For historic plaster walls we work carefully to avoid cracking the surrounding finish, and we always patch any access holes left from cable routing.

Above-fireplace installs deserve extra attention. A flat panel mounted directly above an active wood-burning or gas fireplace is exposed to heat and soot that void manufacturer warranties on most TVs. We measure clearances, recommend appropriate models, install heat-rated cable, and use mantle deflectors when needed.
